The Galilei Hotel is housed in a strikingly modern and imposing glass-fronted structure. Flooded with natural light, thanks to the large windows, the medium sized lobby is appointed in a minimalist style, with marble floors and a seating area composed of leather chairs. The 156 guestrooms, spread over six floors, feature contemporary decor in neutral colours, complemented by dark carpets and wood furnishings. All are clean and well maintained, as are the functional en suite bathrooms. The Galilei Restaurant is on the first floor of the hotel where an old glass factory used to be located. Featuring dark wood furniture and parquet floors, it offers a choice of national and international cuisine with Tuscan delicacies created by chef Sandra Becchi, as well as an extensive wine list. Staff at the 24-hour reception desk will be pleased to help guests in programming excursions and visits to museums and monuments. On summer days it is also possible to enjoy the fresh breeze on the panoramic terrace on the seventh floor of the hotel, perhaps while sipping a good cocktail.
