The hotel is located in the city centre, 300 metres from the Piazza dei Miracoli and the Piazza dei Cavalieri. It is also approximately 5 kilometres or 10 minutes’ drive from Pisa Airport.

The Grand Duomo Hotel is a modern, terraced, 4-storey property with a colourful façade. The medium sized lobby is lent a dignified atmosphere by marble floors and fittings. There is a spacious lounge and bar area overlooking the lobby, connected by a short flight of stairs. Though somewhat basic, the 94 guestrooms are pleasant enough, with parquet floors and built-in furniture in dark wood. All are clean and decently maintained, as are the functional en suite bathrooms. The hotel restaurant is open daily for breakfast, lunch and dinner, serving Italian cuisine and regional specialities. There's also an American-style Bar (open from 18.30 to midnight), as well as a roof garden, which commands views over the city to the leaning tower and the cathedral. Overall, the property needs some refurbishment, but is tidy and well located.
